Welcome to Id'Shidh!
There are many reasons your character could be visiting Id'Shidh Magic Shoppe & Cafe after wandering around town, spying an interesting bulletin in the markets, or hearing of it from another adventurer. If you're interested in roleplay but aren't sure where to start, here are a few ideas! I welcome both beginners and experienced roleplayers, perfect grammar and language are not necessary. Please relax and don't feel pressure here to be impressive. Whether your backstory is thoroughly developed or nonexistent, a simple scene with a few questions can help develop it further. I am happy to help you improve or grow your character.

-
You are injured, or caught a strange aether-sickness and are in need of healing and rest.
-
You've become tempered, light-poisoned in the first, or possessed and are in need of help.
-
You are a new adventurer or have recently begun to study magic, and would like advice or even a mentor/teacher.
-
You have a dilemma or worry about the future and need guidance on how to approach it.
-
You are a homesick travelling Xaela looking for some rest and familiar food.
-
Your character is a voidsent or part-voidsent, or voidsent-hunter who felt drawn to (or afraid of) the shop because of a powerful, familiar-feeling aether.
-
You have a hidden or not-so-hidden impure agenda to speak with one of the staff? Good luck, adventurer. Depending on whom you're courting, this could be a savage duty.
-
You have suffered a curse that turned you into a frog/pig/elephant/chicken/lalafell and need help to change back to your original form.
-
You seek someone who might know about the unsundered world, and wish to remember who you were back then for personal growth.
-
Something strange and paranormal has happened to you that you have questions about. This Nergui seems like he might have seen a thing or two in his lifetime...
-
You are after a beautiful and powerful treasure and need help from a seasoned and versatile mage to hunt for it (can be purely RP or a dungeon gear farming foray)
-
You're just darned tired and could use a private toilet, shower and rest as you pass by the outskirts of Gridania. This is no inn, and almost sounds dangerous, but...it was open and you just can't walk any further. Perhaps you might meet some curious folks, learn something interesting, or come across a good deal on some helpful goods.
