The Characters

A solemn, mysterious Steppe-born witch of unknown partly-voidsent lineage who was raised to fulfill a divine prophecy and was born with the echo. During a journey wrought with strife and painful losses, he became an immensely powerful mage and master of aether manipulation. His consciousness is split in two, and his 'shadow' Khuyagt sometimes manifests as a separate entity. He is *mostly* retired from adventuring and works as an apothecary, miner and jeweler.

A narcissistic and standoffish young moonkeeper who keeps much of his past a mystery. Khuj'a is concerned mainly with money and power, and only wants to enjoy a luxurious life for himself. He is short-tempered and tends to be outspoken, but knows how to put on a show and behave elegantly to get what he wants. Deep down, though, he is not quite as devoid of morals as he seems and is very sensitive- He just would never admit to that.

( This character is FFIX's Kuja, though he came from Dissidia so multiple instances of him may exist and he can interact with other Kuja AUs as well as OCs.)

A humble warrior of darkness from a destroyed Kholusian coastal village whose echo saved him from completely transforming into a sin eater. He escaped to the Source and settled in Limsa Lominsa, where he lives his new life as a chef and fisherman. He prefers a simple life of helping the needy to one of frequent combat and adventure, but will use his strength to protect when needed. His mind is slow and dull from the light, but he'll never give up on living.

A shy, airheaded young Sharlayan half-Viera born to a gleaner family who left home to make a better living. He was taught swordfighting by his father and leathercraft by his mother, but found himself moonlighting as a pleasure-merchant to better fill his coffer. Cecyl grew up with only books as friends and has a sense of compassion and morality shaped by righteous heroes of fiction and history. He is brave in combat and refuses to leave anyone behind.

(This character is based on Cecil from FF4 but he is an OC, not an AU.)

An impulsive, curious ex-woodwarden from the late 1700's who got stuck 200 years in the past after toying around with forbidden time-magic crystals locked away in a Sharlayan Laboratory. He met Nergui in Gridania and practically demanded to become an apprentice to learn as much interesting magic as he could. Though he is clumsy, somewhat irresponsible, and mischievous, he shows great potential and has a big heart.

An ancient Amaurotine who turned down the position of Azem. His power and affinity lies in dreams and the subconscious imagination. He created the Nerida, unsundered predecessors of the Faefolk. He enjoys dancing, music, travelling, and good wine. He carries a pan flute nearly everywhere for impromptu urges to play a song, and often wanders alone from place to place on a schedule all his own.  His skin is silver-blue from modification, and he always wears a red poppy hairpin and a silver wing-shaped ornament on one ear.

A bubbly and colorful travelling actor/dancer from Kugane who found a deep love of baking and decided to open a dessert cafe in Eorzea after saving enough money and perfecting a few recipes. Liza is friendly and extroverted almost to a fault and loves to explore different cultures through cuisine, arts, and sightseeing. She is loyal to anyone she considers friends or family and won't back down from bullying. 

A very old dragon who once brought rains to the fields of Othard and storms to the Ruby Sea to defend and nourish its people. The quiet, solemn creature is not of the first brood, but another line of dragons who made their way to the same star and settled in obscurity and isolation. Retired from his work in modern times and his weakened age, he enjoys taking a smaller form and experiencing life in small doses amongst the spoken civilizations that he has watched grow over the years.

An introverted and rather reserved Ishgardian duskwight from a long line of weavers and tailors who spends his days carrying on the family business. He never dreamed of anything big, but since meeting Nergui he started looking into opportunities for travel to experience life outside of his quiet city. Though sheltered, he is surprisingly intelligent and has a particular interest in Allagan history and technology.

A deaf-mute Lominsan lass who ended up becoming something of a pirate and monster-hunter while she was still a child. No one is sure where she came from, who her family is (or was), or much else about her besides that she loves to drink, fight, and enjoy good food. She does not know much Eorzean common sign, and communicates mostly in gestures or just doesn't at all, but apparently can read somewhat. Some say she often has a sorrowful expression.

A solitary bounty hunter with a bizarre antisocial demeanor and a complete lack of shits to give about much at all. His preferred weapons are a set of dual blades, though he does not belong to any guild or school of martial arts. He claims to have taught himself how to fight, track and hunt. His blunt, somewhat monotonous way of speaking often comes off as angry or hostile though he doesn't necessarily intend to be.

An enigmatic Elezen hunter and ex-arena star from Solution 9 who consumed enough scalekin souls to change his body with snakelike features and grant him the ability to inject a paralytic venom with his bite. He comes off as arrogant, hedonistic and somewhat selfish.

A strange, elegant and poetic being with the ability to shapeshift, read thoughts, and manifest fears into physical reality. They enjoy frightening people and seem to feed on the emotion, following the scent of it to places where it can be found in abundance.

(This is just an AU Ashiok from MtG, technically lorebreaking even if I doubt anyone else is playing them. They're fun. I'm kind of just trolling with this one. Felt cute, might develop a backstory later idk.)

Malacoda is an incubus-type rank 2 void lord who was once a powerful mage, diviner, healer and priest who spent his entire life dedicated to protecting people and keeping peace. When the thirteenth reflection fell to its ultimate end, he was transformed by darkness and embraced his apathy toward the meaningfulness of life and in protecting it. He now lives as a solitary hedonist with often dry and sullen perspectives on death and suffering. Rather happy to hunt prey, but not necessarily craving violence or excess, he does not pose the threat that a more megalomaniacal voidsent of his stature might, nor does he draw the attention of one. He bears a resemblance to a certain half-voidsent Xaela mage...
